LG C1 Vs CX – A Head-To-Head Comparison

If you are looking to buy a new television, you have probably been comparing the LG C1 vs. CX. Although the CX was the cheapest LG TV in 2020, it was also a big hit thanks to its affordable price and peerless feature set. LG then introduced the C1 to the market with a new processor, software, and user interface. Despite these new features, the C1 retained a familiar design and overall feature set.

The LG C1 and LG X both feature a similar support frame. The C1 is smooth and wide, while the CX has a wider and lower profile. This makes the entire space feel wider. Both have low input lag, at around 13m, but the C1 reduces this to around 9m with its “increase latency” mode. However, the CX lacks the same software updates, including the free Play service in the UK.

The LG C1 has a slightly better screen than the LG CX, showing more details and a little less brightness. Despite the same speaker setup as the LG CX, the C1 has a slightly brighter screen, which gives the appearance of a more transparent image. The speakers on the C1 are the same as the ones in the CX, but the C1’s sound is notably less powerful than the CX’s.

If you’re looking for a high-end smartphone, the C1 offers a good deal of improvements over the CX, but it costs 10 per cent more to get the upgraded version. In the long run, it makes more sense to go with the CX, though the C1 will still be supported for longer by LG. And the C1’s OLED display may be the more expensive option, but it’s worth it if you’re looking for a super-bright screen with a lower price tag.

input lags

LG’s new OLED TVs have similar input lags as their predecessors, but the C1 offers lower lags at 60Hz. Both models are also updated with new webOS and the Magic Remote, but there are differences between their display brightness. While the CX scored higher in peak brightness, the C1’s screen has a similar SDR range. Both have speakers.

Fortunately, both models share the same support frame. They’re wide, smooth, and low, making the entire space appear larger than before. Both phones offer ultra-low input lags, and the CX has an input latency increase mode that reduces the lags to 9.6m. However, both models lack major UK app updates and Freeview Play. So, which one is better?

screen size

The LG C1 and the LG CX have nearly identical screen sizes, with the exception of the C1’s larger screen size. They are also both 4K OLED TVs, with a varying degree of contrast. Both have four HDMI 2.1 ports, as well as an HGIG setting to improve HDR contrast. Both are also top gaming televisions, with the C1 boasting a new Game Optimizer interface.

The CX was a hit when it was introduced, and with its excellent picture quality and peerless feature set, it was the most affordable LG TV available. The C1 followed suit, but with new software and a more modern processor. While the new CX introduced a more modern user interface, the C1 retained a familiar design and overall feature set. As such, if you’re thinking of buying a new LG TV, take a look at the C1 and the CX screens to find out which one is right for you.

When it comes to the screen size, the CX has a slightly larger 83-inch display. The C1 is a more recent model, so its price will vary. But the prices are roughly comparable, with the CX costing less. Both have excellent design elements and are similar in size. You’ll have to decide which one to buy based on the size of your room.

In terms of price, the C1 is cheaper than the CX right now. But they’ll likely fall to similar levels later in the first year of the CX’s sale. The LG C1 is the clear choice if you want an 83-inch screen at a lower price than the CX. You won’t be disappointed, either. The CX OLED has a slightly larger screen, but both TVs have similar features.

speakers

In a head-to-head comparison of the two models’ sound quality, the LG C1 offers a few advantages over its more expensive counterpart. It uses enhanced processing technology, while the CX has a nearly identical set of speakers. But the CX’s Dolby Atmos system improves sound quality. Both models also feature the same processor. For the most part, they deliver the same overall feature set, so the CX is the better choice.

For entertainment purposes, both the CX and the LG C1 have powerful 40-watt speakers. The CX, meanwhile, supports Dolby Atmos surround sound and is compatible with the new OLED range. Both models pass the test for HDMI eARC compatibility and Dolby Atmos from external devices and apps. If you’re thinking about getting one of the two speakers, consider its many benefits and drawbacks.
